Westwards, the Lands End peninsula is full of quiet coves, stone circles and beautiful cliffs and most of it is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) or designated as an Area of Great Landscape Value and Heritage Coast. Nearby Nature Reserves at Marazion and Hayle offer great birdwatching.
The coast path is magnificent – from rugged cliffs and tiny coves in the north to gentle, sheltered slopes in the south and miles of sandy beaches round Mount’s Bay and St. Ives Bay. Park and stroll or walk all day –the possibilities are limitless.
A rich artistic heritage is celebrated in many small galleries everywhere and several larger ones like the Tate in St. Ives.
Our GALLERY section shows a few of these special places to whet your appetite.
